Biography
Lady Tania Lockemont is the Granddaughter of Geoffrey, the Earl of Lockemont, who has raised Tania since she was five years old. Tania's parents, Daniel and Sabrina, are presumed dead, after their private jet disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean while they were taking a trip to the United States.
Tania was raised with all the benefits of a child of nobility. Though her grandfather ensured that she was aware those rights were not something she was due, but a great responsibility.
Geoffrey has long been known as one of the greatest swordsmen in the British Isles, and has taught many sons of nobility. At the age of ten, Tania, who had watched her grandfather teach others over the years, decided that she wanted to learn the art of the sword. Though it was not common for females to receive instruction, her grandfather agreed to teach her. She studied under her grandfather until the age of eighteen, becoming his prize pupil. She learned the use of several types of swords and numerous sword styles, but she specialized in the use of dual blades.
Tania has long looked up to the Heroes of the world for their seeming endless courage and their willingness to help others in need. She decided that becoming a Hero and protecting others was to be her calling in life. After graduating from high school, Tania asked her grandfather to allow her to attend Paragon City University for her secondary education. What she didn't tell him was that she wanted to come to Paragon and become a Hero. While a good man, her grandfather was extremely overprotective, and if he knew her real reasons for coming to Paragon, he would forbid it.
Tania arrived in Paragon for the beginning of the summer semester. Her grandfather set her up in a nice penthouse apartment in an upscale building in Steel Canyon, toured the campus with Tania, and then headed back to England. The day after her grandfather left, Tania went and received her Hero license, taking up her swords and hitting the streets as Lady Britania.
Tania’s grandfather passed away approximately six months after she moved to Paragon City.After returning home for his funeral, Tania decided to take a six month leave of absence from the Dawn Patrol to get her grandfather’s estate in order and to get used to her new duties as the Countess of Lockemont. After her period of mourning and adjustment, she returned to Paragon and became active as a Hero and a member of the Dawn Patrol again, though she makes frequent short trips back to England as necessary to take care of her obligations.
2019 Update:
After the closure of DPPC in 2012, Tania moved with several members to Detroit to open up a Dawn Patrol chapter there. She ran the Detroit Chapter as Field Commander for a short time before passing off command and returning to her family estates in England. Shortly after returning to England, she adopted a young girl who's family had been killed in an auto accident. Soon after that, Tania married her childhood friend Reginald, who was the Earl of Coventry. He was unfortunately taken from her when as a member of the 22nd, he was killed in Afghanistan. They had a young daughter that they named Daniella shortly before his death.
With the recent resurgence of powered villain threats in Paragon City, Tania received a request from the Crown to re-open the DPPC Chapter. Tania agreed and moved back to Paragon City, once again taking up the mantle of Lady Britania.
