Anna is the daughter of an infamous cat burglar, Sara Grant. Sara was once captured and experimented upon, where her DNA was spliced with the DNA of various large cats. The splicing enhanced her agility, strength and resilience. Sara retired from crime, and after a few years of retirement, she gave birth to Anna. At two years old, Anna and her mother moved to Paragon. Anna started showing similar traits as her mother in her teenage years. At age 16, her mother was murdered. Due to her mother's shrewd investment of her ill-gotten payments, Anna was able to live comfortably. After her mother's death, Anna began to train hard in several martial arts and took on the hero name Vigilant Huntress. One side effect of her abilities is that when she uses them, is angered, and sometimes when aroused, her irises shift to feline slits.
