So, I got Scarlet Scorpion to level 3 today by
1) going to the P2W contact and grabbing everything I could free, then
2) beating up some ruffians across the street.
At the trainer, I suddenly remembered how it ALL worked; the mechanics concerning slotting powers and enhancements, the colors and levels, what can go where and what I want Scarlet to do by the end.
I marveled at the tucked away memories of the entire process! I also bemoaned having to do it all again: the planning, the gathering, the shopping, the respecs … I mean, I sat back in the chair and started feeling dread at having to go through that all over again.
And then I realized that I can do that all over again. You know, that thing we all had to do for years, and then having wanted to do for years!
On the drive to work, I promised to post this and never complain about any of it again. CoX is one of the few games (if not the only game) that has been resurrected from the online game graveyard. All of us are lucky. Complaining would be ungrateful.
